Should We Stop Going To Church?

In Blog, devotional by S. L. Ozbun1 Comment

Many have stopped going to Church and have forsaken fellowship with other believers. And they all have lot’s of good reasons and excuses for doing so. They don’t like the worship, the preaching is to soft, the coffee is to strong. Not enough of this, not enough of that. I wonder, Is this the heart and attitude we should have, especially if we believe that our Lord’s coming is nigh? Let’s examine the scriptures.

“And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching” Hebrews 10:24-25

Maybe your just waiting for that perfect Church to come along?

“If I had never joined a Church till I had found one that was perfect, I should never have joined one at all! And the moment I did join it, if I had found one, I should have spoiled it, for it would not have been a perfect Church after I had become a member of it. Still, imperfect as it is, it is the dearest place on earth to us.” ~ Charles Spurgeon

  1. I had done this for a very long time, just now getting back into Church, and jumped into it with a half hearted view of one of the places I was attending. Just got to suck it up and remember the scripture, and remember we ourselves are not perfect, just give it a go and make the best of it!
